What happens when the brightest minds in legal, technology and innovation come together to shape the future of our profession? Welcome to the Legally Speaking podcast Legal Tech Talk 2026 miniseries. As the UK’s number one legal podcast and show ranked in the top 1% of podcasts globally, we’re delighted to be returning as the official media partner for Legal Tech Talk for the third time. Having supported this event since the beginning.   We’ve witnessed firsthand how it has become Europe’s largest legal technology conference, bringing together the people, ideas, and innovations transforming the legal industry. Across this special series, we’ll be speaking with some of the world’s leading legal professionals, founders, technologists, change makers to explore what’s next for law. Because our mission remains the same. Inspiring legal minds, transforming legal futures. Let’s get into it.   Please kindly reintroduce yourself. I don’t know how many times you’ve made me do this now, Rob. What is this? This must be the fifth or sixth time that I’ve been on the Legally Speaking podcast, but it is Sahar Faruqi, and once again I am on the Legally Speaking podcast wearing yet another hat. It’s been a busy 12 months.   And it has been a busy 12 months. Can you tell us about the 12 months in the space of a couple of minutes? Well so the last time we did this, I mean we’re actually walking at the moment because I’m about to speak on the canopy stage at Legal Tech Talk. Yep. in the last 12 months I’ve launched Legalencia. That had just happened last time ⁓ we did this. Yep. I’m going down the stairs that way. Yep, we’re going down here.   And that’s been ⁓ a roaring success. We’ve we’ve picked up some some really cool clients which have seen us go ⁓ around the Middle East, particularly in Oman. Yep. ⁓ and also a number of law firm clients, most notably Arbor Law, ⁓ who having completed a transformation process for, ⁓ I’ve recently been appointed as their managing partner. So   Yeah, that’s a lot. That is a lot. And it’s huge congratulations, by the way, on the appointment. Richly deserved. And huge congratulations on, as you say, like 12 months on Legal Entsure if you were to think about what you’ve achieved and the impact on the market, global market, particularly within UAE. It’s really impressive. And people start hearing the noise now, the atmosphere here of Legal Tech Talk. And of course you’ve been involved with Legal Tech Talk. So what’s it like for you year three coming back and seeing the growth of it all? I absolutely love it. It is my favourite legal networking   event and it’s amazing to see how it’s grown. It’s not surprising because of what Bradley and the team do. I don’t know if you can actually flip the camera around, but you know this is this is not even one fifteenth of of what is going on here. Yeah let’s keep going. And of course of course the big the big thing this year as well has been the fact that   LTT has announced Miami next year in December. So this thing is is huge and it’s just getting bigger and bigger. So so much exciting stuff going on at LTT, so much exciting stuff going on at Legalencia, so much exciting stuff going on at Arbalore.   I just don’t know how to keep my feet on the ground. Absolutely. And for folks that haven’t been able to make it to Legal Tech Talk, can you give us a little bit of an insight to what your talk’s going to be about and what people can expect and perhaps where people can stay connected with you as well? So the talk today is on how law firm leaders navigate fear and build fluency.   In the age of new technology. Yeah. So it’s a bit wordy, but in essence, the question is, how do law firm leaders prepare their organizations for adapting to tech, which is one of the most important, significant conversations going on in industry at the moment. In terms of sort of your outlook moving forwards, what’s the biggest problem you’re trying to solve in law and why should people care about it?   I think everyone is trying to solve the same problem which is how do we actually integrate technology, how do we get our people fluent in it, and once that is done, how do we stay ahead of the curve? At the moment people are still scrambling to get themselves somewhere on the curve, but at some stage clearly people want to be ahead of the curve. And now you’ve got law firms looking at you know Kirkland and Ellis have done it, they’ve just   unveiled a $500 million war chest to build their own AI and I think that’s going to be the first of many. I mean Simmons did it many years ago. Yeah but I was talking to their global managing partner yesterday actually, Emily Monitriotis. Who’s also been on the show, folks can check out her full episode. Great, great episode. And I was talking to her about her product and how that will now look against what else is out there because Simmons were very, very early adopters. They were.   And we have just come to where you’re going to be on the canopy page very, very shortly, right? As you go in. So what would be your parting message for everyone as one of our most returning and valued guests and support members of the show before we let you go, before you’re about to hit the stage, the big stage? Well, make sure to like and listen because what Rob does is exceptional. Thank you. He’s not just about the podcast, not just about the recruiting, it’s about community. So very, very important person to follow and engage with.   And if you ever do get a chance, look up Legal Tech Talk and obviously look up Legal NC as well. Absolutely, it’s been an absolute pleasure welcoming you back once again, my friend. Thanks. All the best for going on stage.
