The future of law isn’t just about technology. It’s about what we do with it.
That was my biggest takeaway from a fantastic day at Clio Elevate Manchester, hosted at the incredible Dome on 8 October 2026.
Bringing together legal professionals, law firm leaders and legal tech innovators, the event delivered a great mix of practical insights, honest conversations and plenty of opportunities to connect.

From AI Ambition to Action
Aidan Hawes opened with Clio’s vision for the Intelligent Legal Platform, exploring how connecting the business and practice of law can help firms work more efficiently and deliver better client experiences.
Nicole Campion then hosted a brilliant fireside chat with Marcin Durlak, Managing Partner at IMD, exploring the future of legal innovation.
One of the standout discussions was the panel on AI and the Reality of Modern Legal Work, chaired by Tom Shaw alongside Rita Gupta and Martin Kingman.
We also saw Clio Work in action, bringing the conversation back to something that really matters: how technology can support lawyers in their everyday work.
For me, the message was clear. AI presents enormous opportunities, but successful adoption isn’t simply about investing in new tools. It’s about empowering people, improving processes and creating genuine value for clients.

People and Community Still Come First
Beyond the sessions, it was brilliant catching up with so many familiar faces from our legal community, exchanging ideas and making new connections.
As someone passionate about building a more collaborative legal profession through the Legally Speaking Podcast and Legally Thriving, these moments are just as valuable as the technology discussions.
A massive thank you to Clio, Jameson Legal Tech and the wider teams for putting on such a cracking event, with a special shoutout to Legl for supporting the evening networking and entertainment.
Having worked alongside Clio as the exclusive sponsor of the Legally Speaking Podcast since 2021, it’s fantastic to see their continued investment in both innovation and community.

The conversations certainly don’t stop in Manchester.
Next stop, ClioCon Boston!
The future is bright!
