1:11 – 1:12
And I am joined by …
1:13 – 1:16
Nefra McDonald, Director of Strategic Engagement at Clio.
1:16 – 1:16
And?
1:16 – 1:19
And I am Jesse Harink, Manager of Employee Engagement at Clio.
1:19 – 1:28
You sure are. And we’re gonna have a little tour around ClioCon 2025, ’cause these two beautiful people host the show. So let’s go and have a lo- little wander around.
1:28 – 1:28
Oh, nice.
1:28 – 1:34
First things first then, Nefra. I’d love for you to tell us a bit about your role at Clio and how the last 12 months have been for you.
1:34 – 1:36
Oh, my. That’s a loaded question.
1:36 – 1:41
Um, so my role at Clio is leading the team that produces the Clio Cloud Conference.
1:41 – 1:41
Yeah.
1:41 – 1:53
Our trade shows, our virtual events, our field events, um, bar association partnerships, which we have over a 100 of all around the world, which is wonderful. Um, so my team does a lot.
1:54 – 1:55
Does a heck of a lot.
1:55 – 1:55
My team does a lot.
1:55 – 1:55
It does.
1:55 – 1:58
And, uh, the last 12 months have been pretty eventful.
1:59 – 1:59
Yep.
1:59 – 2:15
We’ve had, you know, an acquisition or two. Um, lots of events in the field introducing these, uh, new companies and the new version of Clio to the market, connecting with a lot of customers and prospects, and all the while getting ready for this big show.
2:16 – 2:24
Absolutely. And Jesse, building on from that, we’d love for you to tell us a bit about your role in the last 12 months at Clio. And we’re just wandering around. Tell people about sort of what we’re seeing and experiencing right now.
2:24 – 2:37
Yeah. Of course. Um, so first we are just beside our exhibit hall here, and then just behind us is our main stage where we got our opening keynote from Jack. We got, um, Esther Perel. We have Richard Susskind today. So it’s where all the magic happens.
2:37 – 2:38
Absolutely.
2:38 – 2:40
Um, I won’t jump on the bed for that moment.
2:40 – 2:51
That’s, that’s it. Uh, and then I work in our employee engagement team. So a l- on Nefra’s point, we’ve had a really busy last 12 months with acquisitions and really the people side.
2:51 – 2:51
Yeah.
2:51 – 3:02
‘Cause with a company you’re getting new products, but you’re also getting these new team members that are adjusting to a new culture, how we do things. And so I work a lot on that side of helping to bring them into the fold in a meaningful way.
3:03 – 3:07
You both do such a great job. And you both bounce off each other so well. So Nefra, coming back to you.
3:07 – 3:07
Yes.
3:07 – 3:10
As we go around, we’re gonna probably go up to the product lab now.
3:10 – 3:10
Yes.
3:10 – 3:21
Um, tell us about some of the thoughts you go through when putting something like this on. What are some of the minor details that you really kind of fixate on? Because it’s very clear that you go to town on all the little things to bring this together.
3:21 – 3:26
Yes. Uh, we want to think about the attendee experience through and through.
3:26 – 3:26
Yeah.
3:26 – 3:35
From the moment they walk into this space, this convention center, what are they seeing? What are the visuals that they’re getting? Do they know-
3:35 – 3:35
Yeah.
3:35 – 3:40
… where to go? Are there friendly people there smiling at them and-
3:40 – 3:40
Yeah.
3:40 – 3:45
… helping to direct them if they’re lost? Um, does our technology make sense?
3:45 – 3:45
Yeah.
3:45 – 3:51
Does it help them to navigate the space? Are we serving fish? We are not. It does not smell like fish in this exhibit hall.
3:51 – 3:54
That is a no-no for conferences. So-
3:54 – 3:54
Valid point.
3:54 – 4:00
All of the details. You know, you wanna think about the sights, the sounds, the smells. This branding is pretty beautiful.
4:00 – 4:01
Yeah. It-
4:01 – 4:21
And with these archways, for example, you can’t miss that this is where you should be entering the Clio product lab. We’ve got concierges at the front to make sure that people know exactly where to check in. They can talk about why they’re here. And we walk them right over to somebody who can actually talk to them about how we build the product. Like, this is such unique access-
4:21 – 4:21
Yeah.
4:21 – 4:31
… that our customers and pro- um, prospects get to the team that’s actually building the software. And they’re here to listen and build the software tailored to the needs of our customers.
4:31 – 4:44
Yeah. And that’s so, so paramount. And Clio has continued to be client-centered and, you know, I’m a big fan of Jack’s book. And I guess, Jesse, coming to you, you know, year on year, I’ve been coming, this is my third year to ClioCon with the show. Um, I see exhibitors, but they come back time and time again and new ones come back-
4:45 – 4:45
Yeah.
4:45 – 4:47
… time and time again. Why do you think that is?
4:47 – 4:54
I think for our exhibitors, and I heard from one of our attendees, they’re like, going into the exhibit hall is like being able to shop all these new products-
4:54 – 4:54
Yeah.
4:54 – 5:05
… and actually have these really, um, uh, personal connections with the people who create them. So I think for our exhibitors, it’s this chance to, to meet people not just on a Zoom call but have that in-person connection-
5:06 – 5:06
Yeah.
5:06 – 5:29
… and really help develop, uh, that same connection that a lot of our attendees have with Clio where you get to talk to their sales team, you get to experience that. And, um, from both sides, I think our customers leave more knowledgeable about the different kind of integrations that we have. But our exhibitors also leave understanding a better breadth of kind of what the market is right now, where we’re trending and where we’re going. So it’s very symbiotic for both.
5:29 – 5:33
Absolutely. And, and Nefra, coming to you, we’re on floor two right now.
5:33 – 5:33
Yes.
5:33 – 5:41
I’d love to know why you chose the convention center specifically, and just break it down in terms of how you think about levels and structuring a conference like this.
5:41 – 5:42
Let’s go check out the swag.
5:42 – 5:43
Yeah, let’s go check out the swag.
5:43 – 6:15
Um, Boston is such an amazing city. It’s a city that I’ve come to for many years through childhood. And to get to bring ClioCon and our customers and our attendees to such an amazing city is great. And it’s a really big part of how we decide to put on the conference. The city is so important. We wanna make it a place where people can actually experience something new and visit…. you know, really cool place. And we’ve got the Boston skyline over here on the shirts, which is pretty cool.
6:15 – 6:35
So they get to take a little piece of Boston home with them if they choose. Also notice that it’s printed right here on site, so we’re not getting any waste. So you get to choose the shirt that you want, the bag that you want. If you don’t want a shirt, you get a bag. Um, and you get the experience of like watching somebody actually make it-
6:35 – 6:35
Yeah.
6:35 – 6:47
… right in front of you. Like everything like we do is, is supposed to be experiential and tactile. So for example, one of the quintessential things about Boston, and in any city, is the food. So tonight-
6:47 – 6:47
Yes.
6:47 – 6:52
… for example, we’re going to, uh, Time Out Market in Boston where they’ll get-
6:52 – 6:52
Yep.
6:52 – 6:59
… to t- have a taste of Boston in one single place. They don’t have to go to all the restaurants in Boston, but I highly recommend, uh, a lot of them.
6:59 – 7:00
Yeah.
7:00 – 7:12
Uh, but they get to have a taste of the best in Boston in a single location along with, of course, fire DJ, amazing cocktails, great conversations. It’s going to be incredible.
7:12 – 7:16
I can’t wait. I loved MGM last night, that was a really good vibe, great people.
7:16 – 7:42
Um, Jesse, one thing that really stood out to me, and I know Clio is very deeply passionate about, is, is an inclusive event and, you know, making sure you look after people’s wellbeing. Because there is a lot of information overload coming to events like this, it could be quite hard to really process it all. And you put on a lot to, to sort of really cater for those needs and people from different backgrounds. So I’d love for you to tell us a bit about some of those things you have put on this year specifically to en- enhance the overall wellbeing of your attendees, as well as them going away-
7:42 – 7:42
Yeah.
7:42 – 7:44
… really informed and educated.
7:44 – 7:49
At the core, uh, internally at Clio, we believe in inclusivity and-
7:49 – 7:49
Yeah.
7:49 – 8:15
… the benefits that that offers. And I think that shows up in our conferences, in creating spaces for all different types of people and different types of way that people engage with information. Some people need a quiet moment, some people need a really big party to kind of decompress at the end. Um, so between our different, uh, quiet rooms, work rooms, how we have different accessibility, um, services available for people who are attending, and then also just our staff. I think-
8:15 – 8:15
Yeah.
8:15 – 8:34
… our staff really… We want to create the best experience for people, so if we see somebody by themselves, we wanna pull them into the conversation. We want to create this environment. So it’s, it’s kind of this mix of all of that that creates this environment that is inclusive. And then I also just think Clio customers are inclusive.
8:34 – 8:34
Yeah.
8:34 – 8:36
They care, they want to be a part of a community.
8:36 – 8:36
Yeah.
8:36 – 8:44
They don’t want to leave people out. Um, so yeah, it, it’s both sides that come together to create this beautiful, um, beautiful environment for people to thrive.
8:44 – 8:45
And we have puppies.
8:45 – 8:46
We do.
8:46 – 8:47
I think you missed the puppies.
8:47 – 8:48
We did miss the puppies, yes.
8:48 – 8:52
Okay, we can grab them on the way back. Can we maybe go backstage? You know, one of the things-
8:52 – 8:52
Yeah, let’s go backstage.
8:52 – 8:54
One of the things that’s been repeatedly-
8:54 – 8:54
Can we do-
8:54 – 9:12
… talked about this year from all the people I have spoken to, I’m in your, in your capable hands now, Nefra, is Jack’s keynote. It was incredible. I’ve, again, had the pleasure of seeing Jack and interviewed Jack many times, but that really came across as a standout keynote. So this is where… Is it, where we’re going now is where he’ll be preparing before he goes on stage?
9:12 – 9:12
Yes.
9:12 – 9:13
Talk us through what happens.
9:13 – 9:32
Yeah. So we’ve got our speaker green room over there to the left. That’s where we, uh, we have some quiet meditative moments before we hit the stage, um, make sure the glam is right, get zhuzhed in the appropriate ways. Um, get a little snack, you know, when you’re about to-
9:32 – 9:33
Do you have a favorite snack?
9:33 – 9:34
I like all the snacks.
9:34 – 9:38
I am food forward. Um, but you know, it’s pretty-
9:38 – 9:38
Oh wow.
9:38 – 9:39
… relaxing.
9:39 – 9:45
Shall we get some view of New York? Yeah, it’s a nice view outside, we get some air in here, it’s gorgeous.
9:45 – 9:46
Yeah.
9:46 – 9:53
No, it’s, it’s, it’s beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. And again, from yourselves, talk people through in terms of your roles on the actual two days here, because I think-
9:53 – 9:53
Mm-hmm.
9:53 – 10:01
… you do a great job bouncing off of each other, but I don’t want to spoil it. Tell us about what you actually do over the two days to, to entertain us and educate us and keep us all very satisfied.
10:01 – 10:27
Yeah. So we open up and close the conference, but we also are sort of guiding people through the experience and through the day. Like helping them to orient themselves, welcoming them to the conference, making sure they know where the essential things are, have access to the tools that they need to navigate the conference, um, and hype everyone up. Um, and you know, navigate some tricky situations at time. What would you say, Jesse? What do you think our role is?
10:27 – 10:31
Um, well, I mean, it’s definitely not your yesteryear conference. We want to-
10:31 – 10:31
Yeah.
10:31 – 10:39
… set the tone with energy and really get people excited. I think that as an emcee it’s such a privilege to be able to hold a microphone and command an audience.
10:39 – 10:39
Yep.
10:39 – 10:49
And so we want to take that privilege and really, uh, do the best that we can to get people engaged. Um, we get to navigate different moments with it. Sometimes little interruptions happen-
10:49 – 10:49
Yes.
10:49 – 10:51
… when you’re up on stage. Why don’t we go see that stage?
10:51 – 10:52
Yeah, let’s go and see the stage.(laughs)
10:52 – 11:15
Um, and then just throughout it’s just… I think for myself it’s such an honor to be able to kind of shepherd people through the conference and have those kind of moments. Um, and then we get off stage and we get to interact with people one-on-one and chat about their experiences. So it’s, it’s just the most fun job in the world. I cannot say more. Um, also I just love being in the spotlight, it’s really great.
11:15 – 11:21
Yeah. And I guess, Nefra, when does it start? We’re at sort of, you know, we’re on day two of Clio Con.
11:21 – 11:21
Yes.
11:21 – 11:24
Are you already doing the minutiae and detail for next year? How-
11:24 – 11:24
Oh.
11:24 – 11:26
… long, how much planning goes into this? Sort of talk us through-
11:26 – 11:27
We-
11:27 – 11:28
… that kind of lead time.
11:28 – 11:31
… are already on Clio Con 2029 and 2030.
11:31 – 11:32
Wow.
11:32 – 11:33
We are into the future.
11:33 – 11:38
Um, the planning starts now, um, for many, many years to come.
11:39 – 11:39
Yeah.
11:39 – 11:43
But-Boston 2026 is, you know, locked and loaded.
11:43 – 11:43
Yeah.
11:43 – 11:49
We know, we know what we’re doing, we know where we’re heading, and a lot of the details, the finer details will come together over the next 12 months.
11:49 – 12:08
So here’s a question, because obviously Boston will be here again. How do you keep the magic from people who have come the first year to come to the second year? Because maybe they’ve seen it here once. How do you still instill that magic or, or do you keep the same ca- ca- same formula again and they experience it again? And what do you do to ensure they get that wow factor second time around-
12:08 – 12:08
Yeah.
12:08 – 12:10
… coming to the same destination?
12:10 – 12:14
There’s a certain familiarity that people have with the format of Clio Con-
12:14 – 12:14
Yeah.
12:14 – 12:37
… especially if they come repeatedly. Like, they know they’re gonna get great exhibitors. It’s a great city. Um, but the content, I think, is what will keep things fresh are amazing keynotes, but also some of the after dark experiences that we plan too. Like, those we differentiate year over year, because we want people to see a different side of Boston, especially if they’re coming back. Um, nobody throws a party quite like Clio.(laughs)
12:37 – 12:39
Absolutely not. Absolutely not.
12:39 – 12:43
So, uh, so I think that that’s definitely a draw. But it’s also the, the speakers.
12:43 – 12:44
Yeah.
12:44 – 12:54
We have, um, one of the most diverse stages in legal. We elevate voices that don’t normally get heard. Of course, you’re gonna have the heavy hitters like Richard Susskind.
12:54 – 12:55
Yeah.
12:55 – 13:23
But you’re going to hear from real practitioners who are doing things differently. And people, like, love learning from each other, and it’s, it’s such a community here at Clio Con. And just having the access to real people who are working on the same things or challenging norms or innovating, I think is what keeps people coming back. Like sure, it might be the same city, but it’s gonna be different people or people that you really loved connecting with.
13:23 – 13:23
Yeah.
13:23 – 13:26
And people come back year after year for the community.
13:26 – 13:31
Yeah. And I, and that’s something I feel the community and that reconnection. And I don’t know, Jesse, do you have a little ritual? I don’t know if we get a sneak peek yet.
13:31 – 13:34
I go, here, wait, just around here is where you see the stage.
13:34 – 13:37
So is this where you both come onto welcome and open?
13:37 – 13:51
Yes. So, uh, just come around. We, um, hide here and zeroed at the big screen, um, and wait for our big call to happen. Um, it’s the most exciting moment. It’s where your heart is pounding and you’re like, “What is about to go on?” And it’s really exciting.
13:51 – 13:58
It’s a pretty, pretty huge stage as you can see there. Um, do you kind of ever get nervous or are you excited? Because you’ve been doing this for a while together now.
13:58 – 13:58
Yeah.
13:58 – 14:04
So your team, you kind of know what you’re doing, but do you still have those nerves inside before going on stage or are you kind of relaxed?
14:04 – 14:10
Yeah. I, I think… A performer once told me that if you’re not nervous before you go on stage, you don’t care.
14:10 – 14:10
Yeah.
14:10 – 14:27
So 100% there is the nerves. Um, but the nerves are just more excitement to get out there and start kicking things off. It’s so much energy. Everyone’s seated that first day really interested to see what’s gonna happen. And so you’re nervous, but you’re excited. It’s, it’s just the best feeling.
14:27 – 14:29
Absolutely. And before we kind of work our way back-
14:29 – 14:29
Yeah.
14:29 – 14:31
… maybe we might be able to catch the puppies as well.
14:31 – 14:31
Yes.
14:31 – 14:45
Um, do you both have a moment you most look forward to before Clio Con where you’ve put in the work that actually then comes to fruition? Then I’ll ask you your followup highlight. So before when you’re putting in the planning, is there something you most look forward to every year?
14:46 – 14:48
Yeah. The, uh, the last day.
14:49 – 14:51
The, the, uh, the after party-
14:51 – 14:51
Oh yeah,
14:51 – 14:51
The music.
14:51 – 14:53
… when it’s all behind us.
14:53 – 14:54
Yes.
14:54 – 15:04
And, um, everything has gone well. Everyone is happy. There are smiling faces and people ready to boogie after two days of amazing learning and connecting.
15:04 – 15:05
Yeah.
15:05 – 15:10
That is my favorite part as somebody who is deeply involved in the planning of this.(laughs)
15:10 – 15:15
And yourself, Jesse, what’s a point, a per- moment you most look forward to, again, with the buildup to it all?
15:15 – 15:25
Um, you know, it’s the excitement from the team as a whole that I look forward to. At Clio, when we are leading up to Clio Con, everyone is focused-
15:25 – 15:25
Yeah.
15:25 – 15:27
… on this event. It is all-
15:27 – 15:27
Yeah.
15:27 – 15:39
… all hands on deck. We are so committed to the success. And so just seeing a company t- come together with such an aligned vision of what we need to deliver, um, is invigorating.
15:39 – 15:39
Yeah.
15:39 – 15:44
You see people knowing what they’re doing and how their work impacts, so that, that would probably be my favorite.
15:44 – 15:53
Fantastic. And I guess before we look to, to sort of close, have you had a highlight moment thus far, Nefra, that you’ve looked back on and just really enjoyed?
15:53 – 15:54
Oh, for this year?
15:54 – 15:55
Yeah.
15:55 – 15:56
Oh my gosh. Um…
15:56 – 15:59
I mean, I know it’s quite hard to move away from Jack’s keynote, but…(laughs)
15:59 – 16:07
Yes. Um, so y- y- I’m gonna go back to Jesse’s comment about the performer saying if you’re not nervous, um-
16:07 – 16:07
Yeah.
16:07 – 16:08
… you don’t care.
16:08 – 16:08
Yeah.
16:08 – 16:11
I actually care very deeply, but I don’t get nervous.
16:11 – 16:11
Okay.
16:11 – 16:12
Because-
16:12 – 16:13
What’s the secret?
16:13 – 16:16
Um, speaking is my happy place.
16:16 – 16:17
Okay.
16:17 – 16:20
And when… Ooh, and we have hit a dead end.
16:20 – 16:20
Yeah.
16:20 – 16:21
When I… We’re gonna turn back around. When-
16:21 – 16:23
Yeah, we’re gonna start out with a…(laughs)
16:23 – 16:32
When I think about this event, I think about it as hosting 2,700 of my closest friends for a dinner party.
16:32 – 16:33
Yes.
16:33 – 16:52
And, you know, it’s, it’s a way to, like, welcome them and make sure that they’re having an amazing time and experience and connecting with new people and all of that. And, like, I see that opportunity to speak as, um, as a way to usher them into this experience. But I also love, like, teaching.
16:52 – 16:52
Yeah.
16:52 – 17:08
And getting to do my own session yesterday on culture and getting a rhythm of cultural growth in your firms and getting law firms to actually think about career paths for their staff. A lot of them didn’t even have any career paths written down.
17:08 – 17:09
Right.
17:09 – 17:18
So, like, how do you get people to aspire to the next level of their careers or feel some of that belonging and connection that(…) was talking about this morning, right?
17:18 – 17:18
Yeah.
17:18 – 17:37
You’ve got to, you’ve got to document that and create that. So getting the opportunity to get in a room and converse with real practitioners and help them to see the gaps in their practices and maybe give them some solutions or inspiration to take action when they get back to the office next week, I live for that stuff. Live for it. Live for it.
17:37 – 17:43
L- Love it. And, and Jesse, for you, has there been a sort of highlight thus far that you’ve, most stood out to you? And if so, why?
17:43 – 17:45
Um, I, last night at the Riesmans.
17:45 – 17:45
Yeah.
17:45 – 17:56
I think when we get the opportunity to celebrate our Riesman award winners and connect with them backstage, um, it, they’re the most, like, humble group of people. They’re not walking in with ego.
17:56 – 17:56
Yeah.
17:56 – 18:14
They’re just so excited, and it’s, uh, when you get the opportunity to celebrate somebody in such a visible way, it’s just so exciting. So, that’s always my moment that stands out of just seeing their joy, seeing their friends and family being present and being a part of that moment is… Yeah, stand out completely. Also, Zernagard was amazing.
18:14 – 18:14
Yes.
18:14 – 18:16
That was really good last night. Yes.
18:16 – 18:22
Hilarious. Really good. And we are now just at the, uh, the puppy point. Would you like to, uh, talk us through how you go about planning this?(laughs)
18:22 – 18:31
Um, so this is actually the brainchild of Daniella Saari, who is one of the core planners of ClioCon. Oh.
18:31 – 18:31
Aw.
18:31 – 18:32
Spicy puppy.
18:32 – 18:42
Um, but she wanted to make sure that in every city we go to, we partner with a local organization, a humane society rescue, um, to… It’s a bit of wellness honestly.
18:42 – 18:42
Yeah.
18:42 – 18:52
Holding a puppy, feeling that warmth is amazing, but a lot of these dogs are also in need of a home. They’re not just puppies here. There are senior dogs in here-
18:52 – 18:52
Yeah.
18:52 – 19:03
… that also need, um, a, a happy home to go to. And I feel like ClioCon’s about connection, and some people actually really connect with these dogs and end up taking them home, which is another really great-
19:03 – 19:03
I know.
19:03 – 19:05
… thing about the conference. So, we love it.
19:05 – 19:14
And that’s a wonderful story. And I guess, do you, Jesse, coming back to you, do you just want to explain where we are now and kind of the layout of what ClioCon looks like? Be helpful for people who are thinking about coming next year to Boston.
19:15 – 19:17
Yeah, of course. So we are in exhibit hall D right now.
19:17 – 19:17
Yeah.
19:17 – 19:26
And just on the other side, where we have our Level Up with Clio Center, where you can get demos of any of our new products. Um, if you saw Jack’s keynote, you know that we released a lot of new products.
19:26 – 19:27
Heck of a lot of products.
19:27 – 19:37
And really talked about that connection between them. So, our amazing team here is here to help people get connected. Um, we also have Plinko, which, I mean, could that ever not be the most fun game?
19:38 – 19:58
Um, and then we also have some, uh, amazing, uh, we have our unicorn sponsors here as well, Scorpion and Access Legal. And on the other side, we have our Vlex Vincent team. Um, what, part of our recent acquisition, um, showing off Vincent and all of its capabilities. So, it’s definitely, um, an area of knowledge and demoing all on this side.
19:58 – 20:11
Yeah, no. There’s so much going on here. And Nefra, I guess before we, we h- look to close, is there a special place that you particularly most enjoy when you wander around here that you absolutely just want to go to, or you, it’s like a best place for you?
20:11 – 20:18
Oh. Well, if it’s not sound bath time, because I do, I actually do play sound bowls.
20:18 – 20:18
Okay.
20:18 – 20:19
Fun fact.
20:19 – 20:19
Fun fact.
20:19 – 20:27
Um, if it’s not the sound bath time, the Clio spotlight stage is really amazing. We do really short, snappy 20-minute sessions-
20:27 – 20:27
Okay.
20:27 – 20:49
… about the product all day long, and I am constantly learning new things about our product. I have been embedded in this company for seven years. I feel like I know the product really well, but we’re doing so much all the time that I’m learning so much from my colleagues’ presentations on that stage. So, it’s nice, it’s a nice spot to sit and, and learn something new.
20:49 – 20:52
And for you, Jesse, is there a favorite spot?
20:52 – 21:11
Um, I, honestly, the Level Up with Clio area. I love hanging around our sales team. They just bring such an amazing energy. Um, really any of our centers I think are my favorite to go between. The product lab, you see people so excited to connect with our engineering team, um, and their success center. It’s, it’s just such a vibe between all three.
21:11 – 21:16
Yeah, and it’s just a great energy. So before we close, if people are getting FOMO watching this and want to come-
21:16 – 21:17
Oh my gosh.
21:17 – 21:20
… to Boston next year, I believe you have an introductory offer. So, tell people-
21:20 – 21:21
We do.
21:21 – 21:25
… what they can do, what they get, and yeah, how they can get here for, for next year.
21:25 – 21:31
Right now, passes are 70% off. $499.
21:31 – 21:31
Basically free.
21:31 – 22:01
You get… Basically free. Like, you are making money if you buy your ClioCon ticket now. It’s refundable fully until May. You are getting two days of education, access to amazing keynotes. You can even get your book signed by somebody like Esther Perel. And your meals are included. Your after dark the first night is included. And then if you want to upgrade, you can get access to the wrap party, um, the second evening. It is such amazing value right now.
22:02 – 22:09
I could not agree more. And, and Jesse, sum it up for folks again who haven’t been able to join us here and should be here next year. What would you say?
22:09 – 22:12
I mean, ClioCon is the best legal tech conference out there. I mean-
22:12 – 22:12
Yeah.
22:12 – 22:34
… we, we might be biased but this really is the place for building connection, for seeing the future of where legal tech is going, where the legal industry is going, seeing from thought leader, or hearing from thought leaders. And also just building your own community. This is not just about learning, it’s about that connection side. So, this is the place to be. Clear your October calendar. You gotta be here. Um, it’s just the right thing to do.
22:34 – 23:00
It absolutely is the right thing to do. And the right thing to do now is thank you both for your time, for joining me on the Legally Speaking Podcast, touring us around. And by the way, we haven’t done all of the levels here, so there’s still so much more you can do as part of the ClioCon experience. But we tried to give you a bit of a flavor of what to expect and why we’re excited, why we enjoy coming back time and time again. So Jesse, Nefra, thank you so much for hosting us. Thank you so much for joining us on the Legally Speaking Podcast. If people want to get in touch with yourselves or learn more about Clio, where do they need to go?
23:00 – 23:05
LinkedIn is probably the best place to connect with both of us. Jesse Herrin on LinkedIn.
23:05 – 23:08
Nefra McDonald on LinkedIn and Clio.com.
23:08 – 23:09
Yeah, Clio.com.
23:09 – 23:36
Simple as that. So thank you so much for joining us live here at Boston for ClioCon 2025. But for now, from all of us, over and out. Thank you for listening to this week’s episode.
